Technopark has commissioned an advanced robotic cleaning system at its Phase III IT buildings, Ganga and Yamuna, reinforcing its commitment to smart, sustainable, and technology-driven campus operations. The project was inaugurated by Technopark CEO Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd).
The system includes autonomous robotic scrubbers and sweepers equipped with LiDAR-based navigation, ultrasonic obstacle-detection sensors, intelligent mapping, and route-optimisation technology to manage cleaning across common-area zones.
Mr. Madhavan Praveen, Chief Technical Officer (CTO), said the initiative aligns with Technopark’s strategy to integrate robotics, automation, and data intelligence into facility management. He explained that digitally configured floor plans enable precise navigation, defined cleaning zones, and optimised routes. The robots operate with controlled scheduling, collision-avoidance features, and real-time performance monitoring via a central dashboard, ensuring consistent cleaning quality, reliability, and high hygiene standards.
Mr. Abhilash M. R., AGM (MEP), added that the system uses autonomous guidance, IoT-based monitoring, and programmed zone management to deliver uniform cleaning in active work environments. He also noted that future integration with elevators will allow the robots to move between floors independently, enabling fully autonomous multi-level cleaning.
The initiative highlights Technopark’s focus on innovation, advanced technology adoption, and world-class campus maintenance for a cleaner, safer, and smarter IT ecosystem.
